The Imposter Syndrome

In the midst of all the congratulatory messages and well-wishes I received a few months ago after I publicly announced that I won a scholarship to do my postgraduate studies in the UK, I started to doubt myself. Here I am, taking a career break to go back to school at the age of 40.

Looking at my cohort studying amazing things and doing so much for the society at a young(er) age — I feel so insignificant. Do I have the imposter syndrome?

And then, came this news of this 67-year-old retired school principal from Cameroon who also won the same scholarship.

Her name is Eyere Takor.

I guess we should continue chasing our dreams and ambitions, at any age. ✨
